Overview
David has nearly thirty years of experience in public accounting serving clients in varied industries including the financial, retail, technology, distribution and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining SLD in 2008, David was an Executive Director with the international accounting firm, Ernst & Young.
David has provided tax services to public companies and closely-held businesses and their owners on a wide variety of matters, including: corporate, partnership, and individual tax compliance and planning; transaction planning; due diligence; State and international taxation; accounting for income taxes; and IRS and FTB tax audits.
David is a member of the California and Illinois State Bars. He holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Originally from the Midwest, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and earned his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School (Chicago).
David and his wife, Elizabeth, live in San Anselmo, California with their children Sophia and David.
